Core

  1. 1Open Settings and scroll to About phone (Samsung: Settings › About phone › Software information).
  2. 2Find Build number.
  3. 3Tap Build number seven times in a row.
  4. 4Enter your PIN, pattern or password when asked.
  5. 5You'll see "You are now a developer!" at the bottom of the screen.
  6. 6Go back to Settings › System › Developer options (Samsung: Settings › Developer options).

To hide it again, turn the Developer options toggle off, or clear storage for the Settings app.

Most codes open instantly as you finish typing — no call button needed. Availability varies by manufacturer, carrier and Android version.
